SGS Glider Calcium contains Magnesium and is an important addition to the diet. It helps keep the bones healthy and calcium is required for all basic bodily functions.
The Magnesium converts vitamin D in to its active form which helps the body to absorb the calcium. Magnesium also stimulates the production of calcitonin which encourages exess calcium to be drawn out of the blood stream and in to the bones. This reduces the risk of calcium deficiency and kidney stones.

Ground linseed can be used instead of brown linseed in the SGS 2 diet.
Normally we soak linseed in boiled water to soften the outer shell and allow the oils inside to be released. With ground linseed you DO NOT NEED TO SOAK as the outer shell is already broken – just add a tablespoon to your fruit/veg mush.
Linseed contains a high amount of omega-3 fatty acids which are great for the fur as well as other nutrients and antioxidants.
